Hurray! We just made history again. The 5th edition of the PageCarton Website Development Bootcamp recorded a remarkable success being the first PageCarton Bootcamp held outside Ibadan. Not only that, it held in multiple locations at once. Its also a first time that we had to attract a training fee to the PageCarton Bootcamp. Our model appears to work and it opens a window of opportunity for us to scale and reach more people for impact, networking and partnership.
This bootcamp brought us to the doors of participants that may not have been able to make the trip if the event only held in Ibadan. We are glad we made the move. It is for sure in the right direction. PageCarton Bootcamp ought not to be limited by location. It also out to be self sustaining and scalable.
Sure, challenges were encounted along the line; but they were opportunities to bootstrap and execute ruthlessly. I love the experience, I was really stretched. A lot of us on the team were stretched. I salute the doggedness and courage of the team that worked on this. Now the challenges has opened the door for new opppprtunities. Now we know we can reach more cities, countries and continents. We also were able to validate the viability of our model and platform. The future is ours and we are already in it.
Mayowa Olabamiji, the Program Director did a great job putting everything together along with Abdulrasheed "Zamani" doing all the follow-ups and calls. Oluwafemi "Labouch" Gbolagade did so well locking down Abuja for PageCarton. Its a great priviledge to have Femi on the team. Without him, the PageCarton Bootcamp really would have been canceled in Abuja. Under short notice and without so much technical background, 'Femi handled the abuja camp with a great repute. Lucky Jerry was also a great addition to the team being the one responsible for our success in Portharcourt city. Tolulope Ogundiji... you are a great asset as a friend; thanks for always showing up. Bukola Akinbile, sister, my sister... though we intentionally didnt announce donations this time, I still appreciate that you gave - your support came just at the right time. I know God has brought me close to great family and friends so we can have success stories and testimonies to the glory of God. To God be the glory.
Breaking new grounds, necessitated us to seek partnership with orgnizations in our host cities. Yes, we are glad that we are receiving good responses from organizations to partner with us in other for us to deliver awesome experience for future events. I am happy to annouce that we are inches close to clinching partnership deals in the cities of Kano, Abuja and Portharcourt that would see us reaching more people with our impactful programs. We hope to close deals and open new doors in more cities globally and tech ecosystem.
Meanwhile, looking ahead to the future, we will be having PageCarton Bootcamp hold monthly in all available locations at the same time. We seek to cover all the capital cities in Nigeria and other major cities worldwide. Next bootcamp in March 2019 will also see us allow participants to join us online instead of a physical training.
While our team put together a comprehensive report on the activities of the event, I want to use this opportunity to thank everyone that helped one way or the other. You are the real MVP. Thanks.
